Fear Is Strong But I am Stronger
Fear
A four letter word with a gigantic meaning.
A four letter word that can stomp a dream in an instance,
Stop you dead in your tracks like a wall shooting up from the ground,
Make you question and doubt yourself,
And most importantly control you.
Fear can come in many forms, for me its anxiety.
My heart races like a racehorse, my hands sweat, my legs tremble,
Its a little whisper in my head telling me that I can't do it,
That I am not good enough, not smarter enough, not capable enough-
Stop!
No- no more.
Fear and anxiety will no longer control me,
It will no longer tug on my heart strings,
Taunt my head, scramble my mind or most importantly make me question myself.
Fear may be a part of me, but I no longer let it stop me.
I turned my fear into strength and my worries into goals,
Fear made me who I am today.
So, Fear,
You may be strong,
But I am stronger.
I will make fear, fear me.
