Fear where I am from

I am from an place where nothing comes easy; I would call this place "The Concrete Jungle";

I try to cover my ears from the loud cry's of the innocents; hard hands hit the skin

Everyone can hear loud and clear but cant see,

I am from Oakland, CA where in broad daylight guns sound off leaving hot steel melting the inner flesh of innocent people trying to survive in the streets of Oakland, CA

I am from these dates that are stored within me; June 10th & July 22nd leaving two of my loved ones bleeding out cold in the grimey streets of Oakland from a random act of violence, The feeling of emptiness in my heart became as regular as the river flowing from my eyes leaving me unsure of why i am from a place where devastation takes control of our lives

I am from an place where on holidays all families conjoin together, some enjoy and some argue but all ends with smiles & laughter. Being so young I've learned how to put up a gaurd wall

I am from an world where a lot of mistakes has became reality

I learned to know and understand that where i am from bring fear to innocent lives

I learned to know and understand that i am from my mother and father
