fearfully and wonderfully made.
Social media.
A platform teenagers have come to love. That I have come to love.
It's a place where I can escape from the real world, even for a tweet or two.
While some have different personas online, I try to be the best reflection of myself.
Except for Instagram, where my flaws are hidden behind a filter.
My words are systematically thought up, giving interest and mystery to my followers.
Those who see me on the Internet may just get a glimpse of who I really am.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am a precious, daughter of Christ.
I am someone who enjoys authentic coffee and conversation.
I am in love with the idea of being in love.
Social media is slowly trapping our generation, putting them into a box. A box labeled with things that I am not.
I am not sexy.
I am not a radical Christian.
I am not a stereotypical "black girl". (Whatever that is supposed to mean)
I am not desperate enough to have a boyfriend define who I am.
Slowly but surely, I am learning to embrace who I am.
Paying attention to what I know is true.
And I encourage you dear friend,
to do the same thing too.
