Fearing the Fight

The push and pull of fear

A child tugging at a mother’s coat

Wanting to go and do

What no sane person would bloat

The fight with fear

It builds up the human mind

But soon it crushes us

To further humankind

The fear of fear itself

Is not to be taken lightly

Know what is right and wrong

And please tread quietly

Fearing modern problems

Such as sickness or being banned

Is not the main threat

But in fact, fellow man

So now please do fear

Fear the rights and liberties of others

Believe in yourself

And maybe you too won’t be smothered
