Fearmonger
Its grasps the air and I shudder.
I fear it's power above all else.
As its power grows mine diminishes.
Worry, concern all mean more to me now than words.
Peril is certain, what else could it be?
This overbearing influence, this pernicious reminder;
throbbing within me. This sickness, that boils
every time you are near and nearly erupts from
me as you say my name. This is madness! Terrible
insanity, that which controls my very breathe in your sight!
Help me from the monster, save me from it, please, I beg you!
Release me from it, give me back my freedom and myself!
It calls me and I answer, against my will, against my nature.
It begs of me, to reveal all, to be that which is the core of me;
my true and honest self. It skins my protections from me
and burns me in its light! Give me peace, give me sanity,
but do not return this beast to me; do not give me love.
Please, just do not give me love.
