a feast for anxiety

It's weird

I run

(dash)

from train to train

stop to stop

location to location

all over the city

I burst through the double doors

and let the cold night embrace me

in its inky blackness

I am at yet another party

it is awkward

I know 3 people here

and I'm not even drinking

I try to make an effort

but there's only so many apps you can click on

so I make one more hopeless dash

away from it all

(the fear of being discovered)

I run out into the night

once more
