Feather, Feather, My Dear

He hummed and tapped a finger

And the sound was quick and sharp

As sharp and angled as the man himself

Trailing gaze hidden by his sunglasses

As he watched the park without seeing

Then he shifted slightly on the bench

As he heard footsteps come on by

And as he glanced up and smirked

He saw the one he was waiting for

A teasing hiss met by a soft hello

And the two sat side by side

The two basking in the other

As they sat without speaking

And loved silently and strongly

Just sitting and existing as they did

The whole while long as the sun shone
