Federal Prison

I'm just a number, I'm not a name

I never learn, I'm stuck in a cage

Sitting in this cell every day

Dreaming of my attempt to escape

I shouldn't think that, I shouldn't know

The truth behind your institution behold

Moving from one prison to another

Don't use my name casue I'm just a number

Trying to act silly, trying to play a game

In a system where I'm just a letter grade

How do I prove my intuition?

How do I prove my definition?

Please pay attention, please look up here

Don't ask for respect if you won't adhere

To your own vision and philosophies

It's fitting cause this is a fallacy

I don't appreciate your tone of voice

You act like I'm as if I had a choice

Falling apart at the seams and I'm numb

I'm going crazy, is this an asylum?

I've been conditioned to work for your cause

Brainwashed and treated to think I was wrong

Prison to prison, the pipeline is real

Why won't you treat us like regular people?

Sit in the same cell everyday

Read the same textbooks everyday

Learn the same old shit everyday

Getting high off grades everyday

Staring at the same wall everyday

Throw me in the hole well that's okay

Rinse and repeat every single day

I've been lucky that I got to cheat the system

But my brothers and sisters didn't get the chance to listen

You treat me like nothing

What are you trying to say?

You're either wasting our time

Or making us go insane

All I'm preparing to do

Is go to more prison and look like a fool

You're making me sad when I should be elated

For forging my future, your crime's overrated

I'm just a number, I'm not a name

Why would you simplify me to an A?

There's nothing special about me, you say

Sit in the same cell everyday

I'm stuck in a federal prison

Maximum security

In a penitentiary

Please don't let me rot in here

I'd rather be dead than waste more tears
