Feeding the Minds of Starving Americana
Was it a curse to offer knowledge of innovation?
Satisfaction of findings rest with a dying nation?
If I could write a letter
Let it address our intellect
Transference of energies
Brain blasts in retrospect
Our fingers in our throats
On word vomit we choke
This nation shall die!
A chronic incorrigible type sick
Lest our minds we feed and our thoughts be enriched
Our vision go blurry and recollection recurs that together our blood runs thick
Because nowadays misfortune isn't Hispanic, White, or Black
But the inability to know fiction from fact
Add and subtract that
There are more arrays of colors than rich white and poor black
Let inequality be not the answer, nor pose the viable questions
Let love teach valuable lessons
Let not injustice impede the innovations of means to succeed
