Feeding The Monster

Tonight I lay awake restless from the deep pit of nostalgia.
I cannot help but feel hopless as I yearn to lie in your arms as I once did.
The words on this page are crafted from my tears and my pain is shown through your falling.
My love, I do not wish to harm you with the words I share on this paper tonight, for I only wish to show you my pain.
My sorrow.
My heart.

I suffocate as I think of what we once were.
Of how we were once branded as liars and waste of space;
My love, no longer shall we be haunted by ghostly shadows of who everyone tought us to be.

I wish for nothing more than to open my heart to you and let you prance in the field of glory.
However, we have yet to close the matter of the past.
I want you to be happy;
Therefore, I am more than willing to to murder the demons of our past and forever close the books we have been reading to our monsters.

Your head will, once again, be held high enough for the world to know you have arrived.
