That Feeling
I’m one for getting all types of feelings
From uncertainty then doubt and then to defeat
From happy then in pain and then to emotionless
From bored then to fearful and then, finally, peace
Uncertainty
A feeling that pops in my head quite a lot
A question I always ask
A question I still can’t answer
Am I being myself?
Doubt
A feeling that reveals itself every morning
A question no one should ever ask
And no one should need this answer
Am I really that important?
Defeat
A feeling that turns its head around the corner once in a while
When victory creeps far away
A question then comes out
Do I carry on?
Happy
This feeling I see often
When I laugh
And when I have a slight sparkle in my eye
Will it last forever?
Pain
The feeling straight after happiness
The feeling no one can change
The feeling no one understands
Why is it always me?
Emotionless
The time when you’re so tired of feeling feelings
That you totally block them out
Why do I even try?
Bored
The time you start realising how little people care about you
The time you think of all the different ways of preventing social interaction
To avoid being laughed at or made fun of
What’s my purpose on this planet?
Peace
A feeling I feel way too little
When I want no one around me
When all I need is my music, a book and a pen
I found my purpose
