A Feeling.

i don't know how to write this beautifully, i don't know how to write this easily or less frightening. emotions are responses, feelings are involuntary. happiness is a concept, an abstract notion (you must realize what this means!). we can search relentlessly, consistently discovering new truths about how to end the question haunting us: "how do we find steady happiness?" but another circumstance uncovers itself as we continue this journey that is life, and another feeling overrides happiness although we are doing the same thing! there is no way to solidify happiness, or any emotion for that matter. then why do we hold on so tightly to negativity? because everything negative is a learning experience, while anything positive is simply freedom--i may smile, but i have not learned a thing. happy angry depressed "i am" no, "i feel" because you are not permanently any of these things. you are permanently human, and to be human is to change course, constantly.
