Feeling Alone, I Guess

I feel lonely

But not the "oh no one's around" type lonely

But the "does anyone really care?"

And most days I try to hide my falling apart

Because people are attracted to perfection

And I am far from that

And it's not the alone feeling

That my mind can't handle well

It's that there's 7.9 billion people in the world

And not one person is sitting next to me

Asking me what's wrong

I guess I mostly feel alone at the fact

That I really really like someone

But I get too scared to say anything

Because what if they like perfection?

And they know I'm anything but that?

I'm feeling alone, I guess...

I also wish I was different, sometimes I wish I was someone else because everyone else always seems so much happier without me there. I'm positive there's someone out there that wishes to be there next to you, but instead they're waiting for you to be with them back at home.
