" Feeling of being human" by Lindsey Allen

She is a flicker of light,

Shadowed by those who fail to see her greatness.

She is a saftey mechanism,

Dismantled by the ones she protects.

She is a friend to many,

But a joke to those that speak her name.

She is one who gives,

Stripped of everything people have taken from her.

She is a person,

Caring,

Kind,

Thoughtful,

But with much beauty comes darkness,

It changes you until you finally fit in and sacrafice something of vital importance,

Reality,

Originality,

And eventually yourself
