Feeling Better

I don't care if you think I did a crime,

This is not a punishment,

I'm not doing time!

I asked myself, "Can I feel better?

Or will I feel like this forever?"

Now I am feeling a bit of hope,

You meant to cause me pain,

But you helped me put down the rope,

You brought the sun from rain.

"I was feeling better,

For the first time in forever!"
