The Feeling of Night

Just close your eyes until the day is night

And just see how the world can be sadder

Though in the darkness they say you can't see

But they don't know how to look

Because if truth be told you can see better

When you don't have the distraction of the real world around you

And truly you can see better when you can't see

Can't see the judgement, corruption

Can't see the colors, the pain

Can't see the sadness

The people living dead lives

And everyone is equal in that moment

The moment when the sun goes down

The lights turn off, your eyes are closed

And dreams aren't just dreams, and wishes aren't just wishes

Because when one of your senses is isolated

Your other senses become stronger

And you are moved by a feeling

Moved to do something, anything

Moved to say something, everything

Moved to understand better

To make a change

Your thoughts become you

And your breath starts to get slower

The silence becomes louder

And the sadness can't kill you

Your feelings don't matter

All you know is darkness

And all you feel is dead
