A Feeling Shattered

What happens to a feeling shattered?

Does it soon die out and leave,

Like autumn leaves? Or does it freeze?

Does it become permanent and stay,

As I if it’s carved? Or does it just fly away,

Like a flower in the wind?

Does it bring you comfort as if it’s your friend?

Or does it melt away with nothing less,

Like melted snow’s watery mess?

Does it leave you shattered like a soul that,

Sits and rots?

Or does it lead to untold thoughts?
