The Feeling of Thrilling

Why do people do things that scare them?

Maybe they do it,

Because they want to show off.

Or because they want to prove that they are worth something to themselves.

Or maybe it's simply because they know they'll only live once

So why the hell not?

Me,

I do it for the feeling.

Doing it is thrilling.

And thrilling is infectious.

I just want to do it

again and again

even though I know that just before I do it,

I'll panic.

But panicking is just another part of the thrill.

I want to feel scared.

I want to stand under those hot lights,

jiggling my legs and biting my lips.

Waiting to do something thrilling.

Because if it wasn't scary,

it wouldn't be thrilling.

So just like a man can be addicted to chainsmoking cigarettes,

I'm addicted to the feeling of thrilling.
