The Feeling of Your Dad's Pain

The feeling of your dad's pain,

is like the feeling of a knife,

digging and piercing through your kidney.

For that, I am... strong.

The feeling of your hero's pain,

is like the feeling of hanging over a cliff,

clinging onto a microscopic string.

For that, I am... brave.

The feeling of your best friend's pain,

is like the feeling of walking away from something,

that is all you have ever known.

For that, I am... prepared.

Seeing your dad's pain is what makes you.

Seeing makes you prepared and persevere.

For that's all he wanted to see,

is to make a little 'mini-me'.
