Feeling Your Shoes

Looking in the mirror, as I saw my reflection

I saw you

I remember rushing you to the hospital

Waiting in terror to find out what was wrong

You were diagnosed with Breast Cancer

Breaking the news to every family member

Crying on the phone and praying for you

We knew you were going to survive because you are so strong

Knowing I had to step up to the plate

Feeling the shoes of the house

I felt you in me
