Feelings

There is something inside

Eating my happiness,

Eating my motivation,

Eating my will power,

Everything.

Maybe it’ll go away

If i just ignore it.

There is something inside

Eating my happiness.

I do not want it to continue.

I do not reach for a helping hand.

I do not want it to continue

I do not reach for a helping hand

There is no longer something inside

Eating my happiness.

Instead, I drift off

Into a black void

Of nothingness

And into the arms of Death.

No hand to hold,

No hand to grasp,

No hand to guide,

Only because I did not reach for one.

Maybe this time I will.

Maybe I will reach

For the hands

That pulled me

From Death’s loving arms.

There is no longer something inside

Eating my happiness

Because I trusted those hands

Pulling me away from Death.

There is no longer something inside

Eating my happiness.

Instead, I am thriving.

I am living.

I am breathing.

I am seeing in colors.

I am happy.
