The feelings of love

Why is my heart racing?
What sets my body quaking?
What’s happening to me?
I know not for sure…

Is it the caffeine I’m consuming?
Or is it new love that’s blooming?
What is this feeling?
I know not for sure…

Why is my heart pounding?
Why am I still shaking?
Is this an emotion?
I know not for sure…

What are these thoughts stuck inside my mind?
And why does my heart feel so damn confined?
What am I thinking?
I know not for sure…

I think I’m in love with my Natalie Gates.
I hope to God that her heart relates.
What’s happening to me?
I now know for sure…

It’s not the caffeine, but this new love, astounding.
I don’t know how, but she sends my heart pounding.
What is this feeling?
I now know for sure…

why I am a captive when I gaze in her eyes?
and why do we never want to say our goodbyes?
Is this an emotion?
I now know for sure…

My thoughts are of her, being with me,
And I pray to the Lord, that it always shall be.
What am I thinking?
I now know for sure…

I am in love with my Natalie Gates
