The Feet To My Soul

I dance because it makes me happy. I dance because I feel free. The world around us is so nappy. Dancing is the only way to flee. You have youth all around you, that can dance their life away. But yet we have no people to rescue, All we have is people to betray. You tell your child not to give up their dream, But what are you doing to help make that dream come true. That child uses dance to hide the scream, Their soul is crying out “only if my mom knew.” Dance is the only way to escape your emotions, The only way to leave the world behind. Dancing to me is like a potion, It is one you can find.
