Fellow Feeling

I fear I have become too comfortable

with the peace your good morning texts provide

and the pleasure of your warm skin on mine

Beneath it all the heartbreak

that I won’t find comfort in your goodbye.

I want you to need me

Burning for tenderness and passion

My love is on fire when I ask

please don’t go so easy.
