Fellow Friends...

Fellow friends, Wherever you are, I write to you With an open heart. Our high school days Have come and gone And I've missed you Since that day on. I hope this finds you In good health And if it's true, And you are well, I ask you follow My request And think back to Our days of conquest... Fellow friends, Remember when Our poor minds Were made A mess By teachers who Couldn't care less Whether or not We were distressed? We'd find A time To clear our minds By making jokes Till we were fine. We'd laugh until The game became An inside joke That still remains. We grew closer Through mutual pain, Since we knew Who was to blame. We survived The dreaded halls Crowded with kids When the bell rung. We were even Able to Consume lunch food And still push through. We became stressed With A.P. tests, We came together For group projects... And each of you, More times than once, Humored me Till I teared up. Now, It seems I'm tearing up Because, so long, We've been apart. But distance Can not dismiss What now feels Like family. And if this means As much to you As it truly Does to me, Then soon, my friends, Again we'll meet. Don't you Forget about me. Sincerely, Yours Truly (Linda).
