The Feudal System

To the little girls who yell at their parents, for a miserable toy they already have, there are people like me, who isntead of having toys in their child hood, we played with rocks. In the later future while your hands are perky and pink, our hands have tissue damage all over them because of the job we have to take up to sustain our family. I'm a women at a young age, my hands have scars from past years, my hands are as rough as crocadile skin but i take pride in that! It signifies how hard I work, How much I care, and the fact that I am willing to let go of the little freedom that is left to work for my mother and her child, for the man she once loved, the man who created me didn't love me enough to stay! The baby he left behind, I live in shame knowing that I once looked up to a man who lived everyday as a drunk. My hero, no longer, to my baby sister I became her father. So I am not only a women, I am also a man, a role model, a hero. Money is an issue, sleepless nights, coming home late, and not sleeping until all homework is done. Even though we have it rough, we are also dicriminated by the colour of our skins, we are brown, the only chance we have to clib up that ladder to be in a higher class than the lower class is education, it looks impossible. From one seed that never evolved, came something that can grow! Grow, GROW into something we can all be proud of. I came from nothing, I have great potential to be something, I need a chance, I am taking that chance, but then again, I need money. Education is a difficult decision, I can't stay behind and be nothing, for those who abandon me will have the satisfaction of knowing they were right, the young that can spred from were I am growing, and for those who never gave up on me, I. WON'T FAIL YOU. I will not allow someone who discrespected my mother for years, leave my baby sister for beers and leave us all in tears have that satifaction that will make him cheer. NO!
