Fever Chills

And as the bones rattled untouched

the ache spread outwards into a numb rain-soaked oblivion

of benign worship

of nothing

and a certain ominous feeling on the tip of the tongue

which reeked feverishly of impending doom

and a throat ripped out slowly while the breathing was still commencing

and a sleepless sleepless

drift off

slammed door with yelling

screaming torrents

of blood red came from the

outside

and inside I lay

unable to rest

yet another

another

day

laying in vain

and hopelessly digging

trying

to find a way

in subtlety to

make everything known

accepted

and love was all there in the cool mist of a bone-ache morning

and a fever chilled day

and a dry cough from the core of a broken record

who is beyond repair

and

and

and

and

and

and

and

and

and

and

and

and

and

needle shifts

to the next groove so the mimic

the mime

palindromous time

and a fever trip dream

dreams

who is who

what is what

was never quite sought

but all there at once

and separate in nature

unremembered in snippets

but as I awakened

am still under gaze

of inescapedream

and am I alive

awake

or unseen?
