A few words about anxiety

    Words that usually protect me

     Start to surround me

Then they rise up and try to drown me

     I count my breaths

     I count my thoughts

     I start to count everything

     Then I can't stop

     1,2,3,4...

     Taps on the tabletop

     Lines on the wall

My heart beating as I shake

     And then as i fall

     I try to stop

The words, the numbers, my thoughts

      From trying to break me

     But I cannot
