Fiat Lux

Their hands entwined
Fingers curling
They touched foreheads
A soft smile, a deep grin

The sun rose
Neither cared
Listening to the sounds
Of their heartbeats

A tongue darted out
Licking chapped lips
A nervous smile
A soft gaze

Lips touched
Coarse lips
Meeting a softer
Counterpart
