The Field of My Life

Toddler flourishing to a teen

it was my thoughts

bouncing

towards all interests

all sorts of possible careers

with college nearing and not a clue

I thus closed my eyes

placed my finger on a list

"Petroleum Engineering".

Money.

My one and only thought

I picked a school for it so I can prosper

I have never made such a correct decision.

the work is delicate and arduous

tearing down walls that I thought I couldn't

gaining knowledge and wisdom.

Oil.

The process and energy systems involvement

I control how to man the drills

safety of the drill along as the workers

extraction methods and to provide cleaner oil

better for Mother Earth and those who inhabit her.

I am a Petroleum Engineer in training with no doubts.

This career has already changed my life and will

continue to let me grow.
