Fields of Gold

In fields of gold she sits
As honey rises into the air
The wind, wild and free,
Tangles her auburn hair
The hummingbirds who came to feast
Give her a wicked grin,
As they go from flower to flower
Drinking what’s within
They leave her in a frenzy, all alone
She sits in fields of gold
As honey rises in the air
