The Fifth
Beams of light passing through the pink stained leaves,
The sun’s rays dancing to the beat of hearts.
Thump. A heartbeat sounds. Thump, intertwined lives.
Love has grown between, we won’t be apart.
Together we stood faithful for the day.
Thump, thump. Our hearts in synchronization.
The love we cherish so, shall never fray.
My heartbeat is yours through imitation.
Thump, thump. Slowly I fade away from you.
Lost in Transmission, our love goes to black,
Our Connection Lost, love no longer true.
Forgetting our past is something I lack,
I’ll always and forever remember
Our sweet and special Fifth of November.
