Fifty-two, now,
and now,
what's a number?
fifty plus two
and round up
and round down.
fifty two days
and not one of them marked
by a greatness
or step.
so what makes up fifty two?
sunrises, sunsets
heartbeats or tears?
i think it feels like forty-seven,
it could be twenty-two.
i checked my clock at fifty-five,
i'd thought it was fifty-three, now,
it's fifty-two now,
i think that's what they'd say.
but come this one more fifty-two
they wouldn't tell me when i get there.
