Behind the eyes

Behind the eyes there’s something else

Secrets only you know cause you kept them to yourself

Behind the eyes truth comes to light

Truths so scary that you kept them in the night

In your mind good and evil duel

Its weird how the truth can be so cruel

If everyone saw behind your eyes what would they see

If your secrets escaped what would they be

People believe secrets can be hidden

But some secrets are too dark to be forgiven

Behind the eyes shows who we are

There lives our burdens and there lives our scars

Behind the eyes, it reveals how you feel

Even after all this time you’ve kept it concealed

So look into the truths of your mind

There are secrets that you may find

Secrets you don’t want to remember again

Secrets that you wish would come to an end

You will realize time moves on

Nothing can change what you did wrong

Still people try to get rid of their lies

But they will always exist behind the eyes
