The Fight

Stop it!

I yell

But for now all I can say is farewell

And I know that I can never quit

For we are all digging ourselves into a deep pit

Then everyone failed

And we realized we’ve just been spelled

It starts with the protests

No

It starts with the deaths

Then comes the tear gas

Making people fall to the grass

Then comes the shields

Knocking us all into the fields

One shot

Two shots

Three shots

Then all of us forgot

That they can still overpower us

But we still give them a fuss

It supposed to be friendly

But they’ve turned it to deadly

Everyone is yelling

Crying

Or screaming

And we all hope it’s just dreaming

But no

It’s real

And then we can’t backpedal

The ones who fought us get a medal

Our voices are useless

Our bodies breathless

Laying on the ground

Hoping that we’ll be found

“Stop it!”

I yell

But I already know it’s too late
