Fight the Darkness

I have spent to long in a stand off with my doubt,

Wondering whether or not I will ever find a way out.

This world thinks it stole my light,

But that still resides in my heart.

This world thinks I'm dead,

But I'm merely out.

Now it's my turn to fight the darkness,

With every word I do,

With every person I inspire,

With every light I teach to shine,

This is how I will fight the darkness.
