Fight for Equality

Society judges me and labels me,

Solely based upon my sexuality.

It’s time to stop this inhumanity,

And fight for equality.

I can’t be controlled like a puppet,

I don’t want to hide behind a mask.

This is who I am - a human being,

My future, present and past.

This is who I am,

From beginning to end.

What about my human rights?

I’m not going to pretend.

Society judges me and labels me,

Solely based upon my sexuality.

It’s time to stop this inhumanity,

And fight for equality.

People are trained to think this way,

By tradition and religion.

But isn’t it time we say;

Let’s love, love and listen.

It’s not just me put in this situation,

It’s an entire population.

People around the world are killed and imprisoned,

For being who they are - it’s not a decision.

Society judges me and labels me,

Solely based upon my sexuality.

It’s time to stop this inhumanity,

And fight for equality.

So speak out against the haters,

Put an end to this bullying.

The world is waiting.

This is our fight for equality.
