A Fight to Fight For

There’s always a spear to be thrown at a galloping grace, a person to be alienated because of their race or an argument to be shoved in someone’s face. Animals detest animals trying to overpower other animals but they do not realize that they are all the same, all of the same as mammals. They stalk their prey like lions in the grass, attack as an army like rhinos in a mass so they may strip from their sight what they do not see as the same class. Humans were animals, are animals of a different species with minds superior to them, but quite hesitant or maybe brainless to understand. We have advanced, strived, been driven to be different yet we cannot even accept our own ignorance. We are blind to see that like the kingdom we rose above, we have not left the kingdom and are still connected, if by chance, by blood. We are modernized, mechanized, motors of machines, we are lifeless, stubborn, cold hearted beings; we are hypocrites- of gender, beliefs and definitely trust, we are deceitful, incompetent, and crave what is lust. There’s always a star to claim, a system to drain and forever more, a life of strain. We are the same and yet we are different, indifferent yet diverse, we know the best of the best and the worst of the worst. Our history shows that we indulge ourselves in what is new, a way to do things different, somehow making the old subdued. We crave difference and that is undeniable, for if we shun this idea we let ourselves become undefinable. Time has passed, passed the new and the old, twisted reality into perception and breaking the mold. Now we have come to a new age, a time in need of the path less traveled; our minds are tinkering away, our minds are things still unraveled. We are no longer just humans but a society, a community, with no sense of immunity. We wish to break away from the current status: Everyone is helpless, soon to need a breathing apparatus? There’s always a fight to fight for, a phrase so universal, we followed the idea like a planned rehearsal. There’s always a fight to fight for, a phrase so universal, and we are ready to take a bit of thought reversal. A fight to fight for what you believe in, a fight to fight for what is right, a fight to fight for a truth unheard and a fight to fight for an ended plight. We fight a fight now for what we like but are still hesitant as we always were, to complete our strike. We stand here, connected by hands and different at heart, looking our enemies in the eyes and spitting in some darts. We fight a fight now as we always fight our fights, with a clash of old and new, a sense of ignorance and some unjustly dues; no matter although, we continue to change as we retract our actions for they might’ve been slightly vain. We fight a fight for renewal, acceptance and forgiveness so that change may occur, this is not strictly business. There’s always a hope for the new, a remembrance of the old and its dew, a mind that we agree is not colored one hue, a heart indecisive of what to do… There’s always a fight to fight for, a world which is at war, a conflict with an unsettled score. But we fight our fights for a fight to fight for…
