The Fight Inside

She beams her uneven smile
She laughs with both eyes closed
Beating others is just her style
All her weaknesses undisclosed

She displays her inner fear
Her tree is rooted deep
All I really do is hear
Now I cannot go to sleep

I know not what I am doing
Feeling is the forbidden art
I say who am I fooling
She is my missing part

Yet I could not go free
God watches my every move
Hell is a guarantee
No one shall ever approve

I wish for another life
I want my past back once more

My soul denies the strife
My emotions are fully at war

Do I find pleasure in the pain
Must I continue down this path
What I am doing is insane
In the end, I will feel its wrath

This poem is about:
Me
Our world
