The Fighter
I was hidden behind a mask
standing in plain sight, but lost in the crowd
drowning in complacency
and unrelenting loneliness
I was quiet and obedient
taking orders like a soldier in battle
I had no fight and I had no drive
Now I am different
I am a leader and a comrade
fighting for my friends
striving for myself
I no longer struggle to stay afloat
I tread the waters with ease
I escaped my prison of satisfaction,
now i am motivated,
I claw for opportunity
and persevere in all circumstances
I am described in one word: Fighter
I don't like to lose
so i don't
