Fighter

I still remember the day he told me

All I could hear was the word cancer

Repeated a thousand times in my head

My dad was sick and I was weak

At the age of 15 I was forced to grow up

Scared that I was going to lose my father

Anxiety, depression, insomnia

Bad thoughts constantly running through my mind

I was stronger than I thought

And so was my dad

I fought through the hard times

And so did my dad

I am grateful for this experience

For I grew beyond what I ever expected

And for my dad

He is the strongest man I know
