The Fighter

Growing up on a ghetto town

I had to get out

Breaking free was going to be difficult

Impossible, no one has ever done it

Big dreams, determination, strength was my mentality

Once the town knew my dreams, I was thrown down

My dreams and courage  were diminished

I felt weak, with no dreams or aspirations

Then a light in me....spoke telling me not to give up

The light in me told me not to give up

I began to fight by proving them wrong

The fight still goes on....it isnt over yet
