A Fighting Chance

why don’t we

give peace a chance

and maybe we will learn to coexist with humans of like mind

and humans of not

why don't we

give peace a chance

maybe she’ll stick around long enough for the wounds to heal

and the buildings to scrape the sky once more

and us to come home

why don't we

give peace a chance

and maybe we will survive
