Fighting through the pain
YOU DON’T KNOW WHO I AM.
Remembering all of the times I used to go home crying.
After feeling that I had no self-worth
My mom would ask me if the tears were on my shirt
No motivation to even finish off the year,
Hearing those words coming in and out of my ears
My bruises were pallets of purple on my skin
Every movement was like a needle was stuck in.
To going to a new school for a fresh start
Where nobody has heard my story.
Finally used the depression and all those uncomfortable feelings
By making turning it into motivation and prove everybody before wrong.
My time has come where I have earned my respect
And now that I am in shape I have no threat
Even at times when I feel low,
I remember what hell I was in before.
From getting picked on
To standing up for those who do
My life has taken a twist but I’m still not through
My tears have dried
And now I know that I can get through any challenge
No matter how impossible it seems
In the end it really is up to you
Whether you make it break you of build you up and make you stronger
From trying to pick up all of the pieces of our hearts
Trying to survive in a world that is trying to tear us apart
I showed them that they were wrong
Even that I waited so damn long
For all those times I wish I could be gone
But I’m not
I fought through thick and thin
I’ve waited out terrible storms
Thinking that tonight is the night actually
Believing that I have lost this fight.
I knew I would be proving them wrong
If I just stayed and faked a smile.
But now that smile is no longer fake
For I have good friends for all times sake
