Fights

Screams and tears

ripped family time apart

like meat to a dog

Words

like knives and shattered glass

against paper

tearing apart our family

I hold Jayda and John close

In hopes to shield them

from the horrors that behold them

we screamed

wanting nothing more than for them

to just stop

and to care

"whats wrong dear?" My mom asks

I do nothing but shake my head

knwoing that what used to be a day was now a horror story

At least now were okay

even if its only for a minute

its more than it used to be

we smile for now cause we ;earned to love the moment not the day

because if we didnt we would never be happy

now we smile

now we're happy

right?
