Fights for Civil Rights Wil Never Die

Civil rights has been a fight all through time Always different people always different things The 1950’s & ‘60’s was a fight for African Americans They were beaten they were hated they weren’t considered human People didn’t want them in their houses, in their businesses around their families People thought they were dirty Thought they were contagious freaks of nature But people stod up and fought They stood for whats right MLK and Rosa Parks led the way to a new life for all They didn’t back down till there was freedom Once they were free They ended their fight Everything was alright But that never lasts The world has always been full of discrimination & hate People beaten and shoved down to the ground Hated & tormented Abused harassed Tortured teased DESTROYED They become terrified to live They are hurt and pained and pushed to the point that they wish they were dead Now it has become the fight for gay rights Started a long time ago and has grown to take over our every thought Now they are fighting the Supreme Court with worldwide support for the rights to marry When they win this fight The world will cheer But the fight isn’t over It wont be done until Everyone is equal Everyone has the same rights Nobody left out Nobody isolated Nobody having to fight just to feel the right to live But that will NEVER happen NEVER in the future will EVERYBODY be free NEVER in the future will everybody stop fighting for whats right NEVER will the world finally see peace Its not in our nature As soon as this fight is over A new one will start Whether it be abortion or bullying or something totally new It will be a new fight for the world and it will build & build & build till it explodes and causes riots & new laws & friendships & families torn It will do the same thing that Gay Rights has done The exact same thing that the Civil Rights movement did & that’s what started this all The civil rights movement inspired these movements The civil rights movement worked and it showed the world that when something is right You CAN fight People WILL fight People MUST fight for what is right & you can win You can change how the world works You can make the world a better place Look at the civil rights movement so many years ago It made history & changed the world
