fille de reve

leaves of gold from last night’s reverie

flitter & flake off, an ethereal cocoon,

an awakened chrysalis.

porcelain cloud, earnest & pure.

beacon cast to guide her mind;

debuted with a silent yearning.

she rises to meet the new day,

to mold the contours of tonight’s dream
