Filter

I posted a selfie yesterday, and someone called me beautiful. He even used emojies, that were so sweet and meaningful. He changed my mood from bad to alright, all because he thought my selfie was nice. Probably because my filter made me look tanner, or because the lighting was great. Probably because my filter made my eyes prettier, or I was having a good hair day. The likes kept going up and more comments appeared. They thought I was pretty, and no one rude interfered. People wanna get to know me because I look this way. But only with the right filter, and lighting. With the camera tilted a certain way. I posted a selfie yesterday, and I can't look myself in the mirror. I wish everything they saw came to me clearer. Only now, I see the ugly. I see the freckles, the moles. Now, I see the imperfections. I see the blemishes and fat rolls. My smile isn't nice, and my hair is much to ratty. And the comments say I'm nothing more than a fatty. Was the filter wrong for my skin tone? Or was the caption not clever? Does my skin look dry as a bone? Or have you just seen better? These people don't want to get to know what I'm like, just because I didn't take my selfie right. I wish they'd take some time to sit down and talk. Or maybe even get together and go on a walk. Maybe then they'd take the time to get to know a girl that could make anyone smile. Could get anyone to giggle and laugh for a while. A girl who loves, and loves with all her heart. A girl who's gentle, caring, and smart. I was dying for someone. Someone to reach out. For someone to get to know me, and see what I'm all about. For someone to boost my confidence, and tell me I was beautiful. For someone to show they care about my happiness more than my looks. I posted a selfie yesterday, And I thought I looked good.
