Filter me not

Filterless my legs are scabbed.

Turf burns cover my elbows and knees.

Filterless you can see the sweat beading down my face;

The intense look on my face has I play the game.

A ball at my feet, a bow in my hair.

Filterless you see the stains on my uniform;

Marking the effort I put in.

Filterless you can see the little girl I used to be.

I am a soccer player,

Filterless this is me.
