Filterless Society

Today's society is very bizzare,

It's for beauty not brains that people go far.

People are judged for their body and face,

Something attributed to the human race.

We hide our flaws and our despair,

By adding filters so people will care.

When we hide who we really are,

People pay attention and we go far.

People see what they want to and not the truth,

Our true selves hidden by imitation beauty and counterfeit youth.

Will society look past the blemishes and everything else,

No, so we add filters because it helps.

This twisted concept is shared by most,

It extends further than coast to coast.

All over the world this idea runs rampant,

Real beauty thrown away and abandoned.

So without the filters who are we,

People "not good enough" for our society.
